Murasaki Shikibu in robot form reborned by Robo-Garage

Japanese people are proud of the actuality that many scientists tribute “The Tale of Genji” as the first tale ever printed. Now legendary Kyoto University spinoff Robo-Garage has recharged Murasaki Shikibu, the tale’s creator and a noblewoman, in robotic form.

MURASAKI stands 31cm and weighs 1.5kg. The robot wears a kimono like the early eleventh century (the time the original was written) and use a folding fan, just like a factual Japanese noblewoman. A built-in MP3-player makes reliable she is able to restate her tale.

Hasbro’s AMP robot, the mother of all Rollys

Honda’s ASIMO robot to conduct Yo-Yo Ma and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra

One of our favorite robot, Honda’s versatile ASIMO, will be the final spread its wings and embrace the art of the future, it’s always hope. May 13, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will be conducted automatically – and Yo-Yo Ma – in a performance impossible dream. The digital oscilloscope and Honda have been the joint forces so that the music education of children in Detroit, ASIMO, the concert will be launching a number of projects, Japan Monolith company will co-sponsor, in the industrial city. Of course, this is not the first time, we see a robot orchestra, but we are confident that this will be the best … provided by little, did not take any bad steps.

Pollen-sniffing robots put on duty in Japan !
